FMC Briareum super-green V

Several branches from this coral are available. These animals differ only slightly in form. You will receive an offshoot similar to the animal depicted in the photo

Briareum sind leicht mit Clavularia, Pachyclavularia oder Erythropodium zu verwechseln. Briareum häutet sich aber nach Berichten von vielen Aquarianern, im Gegensatz zu Pachyclavularia.

Die krustenfömige Form der Briareum ähnelt den Röhrenkorallen (Stolonifera). Briareum gehört aber wegen seines Skelettaufbaus zu der Gruppe der Kalkachsenkorallen (Scleraxonia) und wird somit zu den Gorgonien gerechnet.

Haltung an sich einfach, sofern sie nicht von Algen überwachsen werden. Das mögen sie gar nicht. Schnell wachsend und damit auch ein Konkurrent für andere Korallen.

Viel Licht, gute Strömung und sauberes Wasser sollte geboten werden.

Lässt sich durch Fragmentation leicht vermehren.

Eine Größenangabe ist nicht möglich, da dieses Tiere flächemmässig große Bereiche überwachsen kann.
