Identifying large polyp stoney corals is not always easy especially with Favia,Favites,Goniastrea and Platygyra specieses.
They are just to similar in growth pattern.
The care of these species is very simple and does not take much reef keeping knowledge.
They do not require the same level of No3- and Po4-concentrations as small polyp stony corals (SPS) do, yet it is still important to make sure that they have the proper environment and the right water parameters.
